Questions about making a workplace bullying claim? Call us on 0333 006 8282.
Absolutely. If you can prove medical harm directly caused by workplace bullying, and your employer failed in their duty of care, you've got grounds for a harassment claim. You need a proper diagnosis, clear causation linking the bullying to your harm, and evidence of employer negligence.
We see workers struggling with depression, anxiety, and lost wages because their employer refused to act. None of that should be your burden. Call us on 0333 006 8282. It's No Win, No Fee¹.
Bullying at work includes any offensive, intimidating or malicious behaviour that undermines, humiliates or makes you feel worthless. This covers everything from constant verbal abuse and deliberate exclusion to impossible deadlines designed to make you fail. Digital harassment through emails, messages and social media also counts.
Your compensation covers special damages (lost wages, medical costs, therapy bills) plus general damages for your suffering, calculated using official Judicial College Guidelines. Moderate psychiatric damage ranges from £5,860–£19,070, while severe cases can reach £54,830 or more.
No, firing you for making a harassment claim is completely illegal. If they're unwise enough to try it, that's unfair dismissal and you'll have two claims against them instead of one. The law protects you from any retaliation for asserting your rights.
You need medical evidence showing psychological or physical harm, clear proof the bullying caused that harm, and evidence your employer was negligent. Keep detailed records of every incident with dates, times and witnesses. Save emails, messages and screenshots before they're deleted.
You generally have three years from the date of the bullying to start a personal injury claim. For Employment Tribunal claims, you have just three months from the last incident. Don't wait. Evidence disappears and the sooner you act, the stronger your case will be.
Workplace bullying is shockingly common. According to ACAS, around 1 in 4 UK workers have experienced bullying at work. The HSE reports that 307,000 adults experienced violence at work in a single year, with 688,000 separate incidents recorded.
These numbers show why it's vital to claim the compensation you deserve if workplace bullying has harmed your health.
Every day, we help hundreds of people across the UK claim the compensation they deserve after workplace bullying or harassment.
Don't let your employer's negligence cost you thousands. We fight for every penny you're owed, and there are no upfront costs*.
