If you are not satisfied

If you are not satisfied with our final response, or if 8 weeks have passed since you made your complaint and you have not received a final response, you may refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

The Financial Ombudsman Service is a free, independent service for resolving disputes. You must contact them within 6 months of receiving our final response.

Your right to claim directly

You are not required to use a claims management company to pursue a claim. It is possible to present the claim yourself for free, either directly to the person you wish to claim against, or through an authorised person such as a solicitor. For road traffic accident claims, you can also use the Official Injury Claim portal to make a claim yourself at no cost.
